Venue: Gage Residence, UBC
Guest of Honour: Jack Vance

VCON 7 exposed fans to the technological highlights of the day. There was a demonstration of the Roland Microcomposer synthesizer, as well as a talk on the Jupiter flyby. The tradition of the "pre-cancelled" panel shows up at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, while a panel on music and SF led into a jam session. There were also appearances by dead authors, as well as panels on energy weapons, science farce, Armageddon in SF, and the sociological impact of micro-computers, as well as a talk and slide show on French SF comics.
