Actually Vancouver's seventh convention, VCON VI featured a "dead authors" panel (featuring club members who adopted the personas of authors of the 19th century), filksinging led by Vera Johnson, and a Regency period tea. There were also panels on children's SF and fantasy, Dungeons and Dragons, space colonies, and the future of comics. Neofans were introduced to fandom via a talk and slide show, while for the experienced fans, there was a trivia quiz.
