The VCON 10 program book noted that local Vancouver author William Gibson had a "novel in progress" (Neuromancer, which in 1984 gave birth to the sub-genre of science fiction now known as "cyberpunk.") Panels tackled such subjects as the history of TV, Hollywood's attitudes to SF, Canadian fandom, adventure gaming, breaking into science fiction writing, and predictions SF stories and novels of the past made about the world we live in today. There was also a slide show tour of the solar system.
