WCSFA MEETING MINUTES
Special General Meeting - December 17, 2006 at 6837 Station Hill Drive, Burnaby.

Total attendance approx. 25 members
Meeting was called to order at 2:25 pm.
1. VCON date. There was an intense and extensive discussion of whether VCON should remain on the Thanksgiving Day long weekend or move to another weekend in October.
MOTION: Moved that we authorize Danielle to set a date for VCON32 within October. Moved by Clint. Seconded by Garth. Passed unanimously.
2. HOTEL: A decision on the
venue for VCON32 could not be made as the
committee is still searching for a hotel and needed confirmation of what
weekend the con will be held before they could proceed. Marie gave a brief
report on the progress of the hotel search. The Executive Inn has given us
a
quote which is far too expensive to consider. She and Danielle will be touring
the Richmond Radisson, and hope it will be suitable.
MOTION: Moved that Danielle and Marie bring a recommendation on the hotel to the Board for Directors for a decision. Moved by Clint. Seconded by Marie. Passed unanimously.
3. VCON LOGO: Clint showed
off the revised VCON logo.
MOTION: Moved that WCSFA adopt the new VCON logo. Moved by Susan Walsh. Seconded
by Pauline Walsh. Passed unanimously.
4. VCON CHILD RATES:
This piece of business was left over from the WCSFA
meeting of January, 2006 when there had been a debate over the age range for
"child" memberships.
MOTION: Moved that child membership rates be officially set at: Age 6 and under
- free; Age 7-12 - half price. Moved by Donna. Seconded by Clint. Passed unanimously.
The meeting was adjourned at 2:30 pm.
