Paul called the meeting to order at 4:45 pm.
Minutes of the Last Meeting: The minutes of the last meeting have been posted to WCSFA website, so the reading of the minutes was waived.
VCON 28 Report: Paul Carpentier reported that the original outstanding debt from VCON 28 was $2600. The hotel has now been paid in full, after some re-negotiation of the charges. After this, the remaining debt is estimated to be $2-300.
Moved that Paul be the first to be reimbursed from any surplus funds after VCON 29. Moved by Clint Budd; seconded by Kathleen Moore-Freeman. Discussion...
Moved that 50% of the surplus (if any) from VCON 29, up to the amount of the VCON 28 deficit, go to Paul. Move by Greg Cairns; seconded by Bill Foster. Amendment and motion passed.
VCON 29 Report:
Fran is working on planning the schedule. There will be an art auction with any art from the art show which receives one bid. The WCSFA annual general meeting will be Sunday at 6:00, or moved at the discretion of programming.
Richard Africa will cover gaming until July, and then Greg Cairns will cover it until the con. Imperial Hobbies will donate prizes.
Marie has proposed to hold a 50/50 draw to pay for web site expenses such as the domain registration, which fell due this year.
Greg Slade has taken up the webmaster duties, reporting to Clint.
Chilam reports that the Art Show is progressing well.
Lorna reports that the estimated cost for DVD-R discs for the video room is $26.
Greg Cairns is working on getting a band to do a concert on Friday night in return for half of the Friday night gate. The plans for the Bacchanal on Saturday are going well.
Clint reported on plans to colour-code the badges.
Paul reported that the projected budget is incomplete because he does not have reports from all the departments.
Lorna tendered her resignation from the ConCom. Moved to accept her registration with regrets. Moved by Clint Budd; seconded by Greg Cairns.
Next Meeting: The next quarterly meeting is scheduled for August 8th.
