In Attendance: Clint Budd, Chilam, Fran Skene, Paul Carpentier, Jenn Forest, Bill Foster (Chang), Lorna Appleby, Marie-Louise Beesley, Greg Cairns, Kathleen Moore-Freeman.
Meeting called to order 2:30 pm
* Minutes: The minutes of the previous meeting were waived, there being no business arising.
* VCON 28 Report: presented by WCSFA President (and former VCON 28 Chair) Paul Carpentier. It looks as though VCON 28 may have a deficit; since all the numbers aren't in yet the total amount isn't known yet.
* VCON 29 Bid Presentation: Marie-Louise Beesley, Greg Cairns
The hotel contract negotiations with the Metrotown Hilton are going well. The ConCom is being filled out:
Moved that the meeting adopt the bid for VCON 29 as presented. Clint Budd Moved, Lorna Appleby seconded, passed with two abstentions.
Moved that the signing officers for the West Coast Science Fiction Association bank account be Paul Carpentier, Clint Budd, Marie-Louise Beesley, & Paul Whitmore. Clint Budd Moved, Bill Foster seconded, passed with 1 opposed and no abstentions. (It's already WCSFA policy that the joint WCSFA/VCON (Convention) Bank account have four signing officers – the; President & Chair and the two Treasurers. Any two signatures are required.)
The next Quarterly General Meeting is tentatively scheduled for the end of April (last Sunday in April is the 25th) or the beginning of May (first Sunday in May is the 2nd.)
Adjournment was at 4:00 pm followed by a hotel tour.
